English Course (Short-Term)

This course is ideal for the student seeking to improve their English during a short visit break in Singapore.  This short course aims to improve the student’s proficiency in English in listening, speaking, reading, writing and usage using the same proven SSTC F.L.A.M.E. methodology in learning English as non-native speakers. As the courses are under 4 weeks, no student pass is required. Student need to enter Singapore on a tourist pass and satisfy the visa requirements, if necessary.

Programme Duration

Available in 1, 2, 3 or 4-week courses. Classes are held Mondays to Fridays, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm with breaks.

Mode of Delivery

Learning is done in a classroom environment.  Teaching methods include class lessons, interactive tutorials and other in-class activities.

Admission Criteria

There are no admission criteria. Prior to starting the course, students will undergo a placement test to determine their English proficiency and will be assigned to the appropriate level based on their results.

Graduation Criteria

None.

Attendance Criteria

All students need to attend at least 75% of classes to be eligible for a Certificate of Attendance.

Commencement day: Every Monday (except when it coincides with school/public holidays)

End day: Friday (except when it coincides with school/public holidays), depending on the course duration (1, 2, 3 or 4 weeks from the commencement date)
