CAMBRIDGE PRIMARY

SSTC International Academy (SSTC-IA) aims to maximise learners’ potential, enabling them to become well-rounded individuals ready for the next phase of their academic journey. The Philosophy of Education at SSTC -IA is encouraging each and every student to explore education with an inquisitive mind, simultaneously building up their character to become morally upright learners who are able to thrive in the 21st Century and beyond.

SSTC-IA offers the Year 1 to Year 6 programme based on the Cambridge Primary Curriculum. Cambridge Primary is an education programme for young learners that combines a world-class curriculum, high-quality support for teachers and integrated assessment.

The Cambridge Primary Curriculum that SSTC-IA adopts, include a subject called Global Perspectives. This subject develops the skills of research, analysis, evaluation, reflection, collaboration and communication. It strengthens the links across English as a first or second language, mathematics, science and ICT Starters. Research says that the earlier students start to develop and practise their skills, the greater the impact on their learning. The Cambridge Global Perspectives made available to younger students will develop and embed cross-curricular skills at an earlier age, supporting them in their studies as they progress to their Secondary education and beyond.
