CAMBRIDGE IGCSE

SSTC International Academy (SSTC-IA) aims to maximise learners’ potential, enabling them to become well-rounded individuals ready for the next phase of their academic journey.

SSTC International Academy offers the Year 7 to Year 10 courses leading to the Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE).

The IGCSE is a rigorous international secondary school programme that is examined by Cambridge Assessment International Education. The Cambridge IGCSE is the world’s most popular international qualification for 14 to 16 year olds, attracting over 900,000 subject entries every year from 140 countries.

Upon completion of the four-year programme, students will have developed knowledge, understanding and skills in subject content and intellectual enquiry. Cambridge IGCSE has been designed for students worldwide, including those whose first language is not English.

Assessment takes place at the end of the course and offers students a range of ways to demonstrate their learning, including written, oral, coursework and practical assessments.

Cambridge IGCSE is a great foundation for further study, including Cambridge International AS & A Level, Cambridge Pre-U, the International Baccalaureate Diploma and other post-16 routes such as the Pearson BTEC Level 3 Diplomas offered at SSTC Institute. Students with an IGCSE qualification can look forward to pursuing post-secondary education in Singapore or overseas.

A unique feature of SSTC International Academy’s IGCSE Curriculum is the inclusion of the Character & Lifeskills Education programme that aims to mould our students into becoming individuals of sound character, having essential lifeskills that will strengthen their resilience, equipping them with the knowledge and competencies in becoming leaders in their own right.
